How To Build A Strong Faith

He(Abraham) did not waver at the promise of God through uubelieve, but was strengthepned in faith, giving glory to GodRom. 4:20(NKJV)

GOD does not give anyone more or stronger faith than He gives to others. In Romans 12:3 the Bible says “God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith“(KJV), meaning that everyone receives same measure of faith at the point of accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior.

measure of faith is referred to in Matt 17:20 asa grain of mustard seed“. Though it’s the smallest of seeds, yet with that level of faith, “you can say to the mountain, ‘move from here to there‘, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible to you.'”

We cannot talk about faith without mentioning Abraham who is our father of faith. The Bible said he was justified by faith. It was the same measure of faith which is by grace that Abraham received that we also receive today.(Rom. 4:11,16). What you do with your measure of faith to make it big and strong is entirely up to you.

Abraham, he grew strong in his faith not only by belief, but also by countering his unbeliefhe did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.” Rom 4:20

Although your mustard seed faith can still move the mountain, God does not want you to remain at that level of faith. He wants each and every one of us to grow our faith bigger and stronger.

should note that strong faith does not come from fasting longer time or praying very hard, but to what use we put our measure of faith.

It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'” Matt 4:4
Just as we feed our physical body with bread for growth, the word of God is the food of the spirit by which we can make our faith to grow bigger. So, faith, and it’s growth comes from hearing the Gospel message of Christ Jesus(Rom. 10:17)

After feeding on the word, we also need to meditate on the word by spending enough time thinking about it of how it applies in practical terms to our situations and things we may encounter in our daily routines. We should know when our decisions and the actions we take are in the will of God or not. We can know this if His word is dwelling richly in our hearts and minds.(Col. 3:16)

  • Do you know that faith can be fed to become very big but still be weak? Definitely! Just as the physical body, faith can be fed to grow but without exercise, it will be a weak faith. To exercise your faith simply means to act on the word you have heard, read, and believed. Yes, put the word to work and see how it performs.

Finally, to build a strong faith, you must at all times counter your doubts. The one thing that fights against our faith the most is DOUBT or unbelief. YES! Both faith and doubt are residing together in us and fighting against each other. Jesus said to Peter, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” Matt. 14:31.
Peter also had the little grain of faith and at a time it could do great things for him even as to walk on water, but as soon as doubt overcame him, he began to sink.

In summary, do not doubt in your heart, but believe without wavering every word of God you have heard or read, then verbally declare them in specific areas of your life but more importantly, put them into action because a strong faith is a doing(action) faith.

The Significance Of Easter.

Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

Why did Jesus die?
God made us in His own image to relate and fellowship with Him. That relationship was broken because of Adams disobedience in the garden of Eden. We all as a result were born with thatoriginal sin‘. The Bible says “For as by one mans disobedience, many were made sinners..”. Rom. 5:12. Man’s relationship with God was affected because He is so holy and cannot bear to look at our sin.

Jesus isthe Lamb slain from the foundation of the worldto take away our sins. Being righteous and without blemish, He came and took upon Himself the punishment that was due to us. “and by Him to reconcile all things to Himselfhaving made peace through the blood of His crossCol. 1:20

*Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.- Rom. 5:9*

And so, Christ is the long awaited Messiah who saves people from their sins and reconcile them to God for a new and everlasting covenant.(Isa. 55:3; Jer. 32:40; Luke 22:20)
The new covenant is for an everlasting life to be spent with God for those who have faith in Christ Jesus and His finished work at Calvary.

JESUSRESURECTION is a triumph of good over evil, and life over death. By His resurrection, He has offered eternal life to everyone who has faith in Him and His finished work at Calvary which in itself is a big victory over eternal separation from God.

*And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.*
*He who has the Son has life; and he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. – 1 John 5:11,12*

As we celebrate Easter, we must keep in mind that Christ is the reason for the season. Jesus came with the message of hope, love, compassion, forgiveness and Salvation. He has already paid the price for our sins. He gave His life for the salvation of our souls. We all need to recognize the fact that we have a sinful nature and therefore need to confess our sins and ask God for forgiveness.

Have a blessed and happy Easter. As Jesus said “I am the resurrection and lifeJohn 11:25. May the Lord guide, protect and keep you all in this season and all through your life’s journey.

The Diligent Heart That Brings Good Treasure.

Good people bring good things out of their hearts, but evil people bring evil things out of their heartsMatt. 12:35(CEV)

THE diligent heart is that which is careful, does things on purpose and very reasonable. A Christian should be purposeful in everything he does because the Bible says for us to keep and guard our hearts with all vigilancefor it determines the course of your lifeProv. 4:23(NLT)

At the time we become a born again Christian, we receive a new heart and a new spirit that is of God. That was in fulfilment of God’s promise to take away our stubborn heart in exchange for the one that desires to be faithful. The new heart is that which is also receptive of Gods Spirit and its capable of pure thoughtsthat make you eager to obey My laws and teachingsEzek. 36:27

We do know that man is a spirit that has a soul and he lives in a body. With the new heart and a renewed spirit, you should be able to receive and live the life and nature of God.

*”Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come2 Cor. 5:17(NIV). this is made possible because God sent His Son Christ Jesus as a peace maker to reconcile us to Himself.*

The state of your heart as a Christian determines the extent that God’s Spirit will operate in you and in turn “influence everything else in your life” Prov. 4:23. That is the reason we need to guard our hearts diligently at all times so that from it we may bring forth good fruits.

The wisdom from above is first and foremost pure, then peaceloving, considerate, gentle, willing to yield to reason, compassionate, etc being the good fruits of a heart that is devoid of envy, selfish rivalry, unrest, and all sorts of evil & vile practices.(James 3:16,17)

On the inside of you is everything you need for a godly life given to you by Gods divine power. So, whatever your needs in life are, you can nurture and bring them forth because they are already deposited in you “through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.” 2 Peter 1:3
I pray that our mind is renewed and repositioned on a daily basis by the Word and the power of His Holy Spirit for a glorious life.

Relationship and Fellowship with God

What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also;

indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3(NASU)

God made us in His own image that we may have a share of the characteristics of His divine nature. The essence is for us to be able to relate and fellowship with Him in an inseparable union through the Holy Spirit.(Gen. 1:26, 2 Peter 1:4)

we accept Christ as Lord and Savior, a relationship with God is established but we need to be obedient to God and love Him with our whole heart to attract His friendship.(Matt. 22:37, Gal. 3:6)

*By His divine power He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises by which we may escape the moral decay, corruption, lust and greed of this world so as to have a share of His divine nature.(2 Peter 1:4)*

God’s desire is for every follower of Christ is to be so filled with His fullness and be in close relationship and fellowship with Him.
Apostle Paul prayed that a believer should experience in practical terms the love of Christ which is beyond what we may be able to understand by mere knowledge and that through it, we may have the full measure of the divine Presence and wholly be filled with God Himself.(Eph. 3:1719)

To be in real fellowship with God and His Son Jesus, we have to first of all be brought into a ‘oneness of spirit with divinity’ through the full and accurate “knowledge of the Son of God,… which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s perfection”Eph.4:13(Amp)

*Fellowship of the Godkind is for those who has come to the level of maturity in their Christian life whereby they can partake of the divine nature.*

Our father Abraham had that kind of level of relationship and fellowship with God for which “he was called the friend of GodJames 2:23. It was such a close relationship for which Abraham confirmed when he saidindeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord” and God also confided in him of His plans to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah.(Gen. 18,:2033)

We also can can have that level of cordial relationship and fellowship with God and His Son Jesus if only we so choose to. It’s really up to us as believers in Christ because God has already made available to everyone His word, abundant grace, unflinching love and the Holy Spirit which are working together to bring us to that level of knowledge and maturity that God has called us into. This is so because we need to operate in the realm of the spirit for us to understand things at His level.(John 17:926)
