REVELATION CHAPTER 5? (MY QUESTION),BY Dr. CHUCK MISSLER,

PLEASE LISTEN TO IT

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

ONE OF THE CHURCHES, IN REVELATION, PHILADELPHIA, SPEAKS ABOUT THE END TIMES

To the Church in Philadelphia

“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia(P) write:

These are the words of him who is holy(Q) and true,(R) who holds the key of David.(S) What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. I know your deeds.(T) See, I have placed before you an open door(U) that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.(V) I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan,(W) who claim to be Jews though they are not,(X) but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet(Y) and acknowledge that I have loved you.(Z) 10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you(AA) from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world(AB) to test(AC) the inhabitants of the earth.(AD)

11 I am coming soon.(AE) Hold on to what you have,(AF) so that no one will take your crown.(AG) 12 The one who is victorious(AH) I will make a pillar(AI) in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God(AJ) and the name of the city of my God,(AK) the new Jerusalem,(AL) which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. 13 Whoever has ears, let them hear(AM) what the Spirit says to the churches.

To the Church in Laodicea

14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea(AN) write:

These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness,(AO) the ruler of God’s creation.(AP) 15 I know your deeds,(AQ) that you are neither cold nor hot.(AR) I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’(AS) But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.(AT) 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire,(AU) so you can become rich; and white clothes(AV) to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness;(AW) and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline.(AX) So be earnest and repent.(AY) 20 Here I am! I stand at the door(AZ) and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,(BA) I will come in(BB) and eat with that person, and they with me.

21 To the one who is victorious,(BC) I will give the right to sit with me on my throne,(BD) just as I was victorious(BE) and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Whoever has ears, let them hear(BF) what the Spirit says to the churches.”

THE MOMENT LIFE BEGINS

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

I f you and your mate genuinely want to experience true love— the kind that lasts throughout eternity—you must face the truth about your standing before God. According to the Bible, we are all born with a sinful nature (Romans 3:23). This sin problem prevents us from living God’s way, whether as individuals or as a married couple. In fact, unresolved sin will block even your best efforts to have a successful marriage, because the inescapable outcome of sin is slavery to our worst impulses and—eventually—death (Romans 6:23).

But there is a wonderful alternative! Jesus Christ paid the price for your sin through His death on the cross. And through His miraculous resurrection, He rescued you from eternal destruction. You can reach out in faith to receive your free gift of new life. Jesus put the Good News this way: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

It really is that simple: If you choose to repent of your sin and receive the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, you will be forgiven and receive His gift of eternal life.

If you do not know Jesus Christ in this intimate way, we invite you to offer the following prayer tonight. For every human being who invites Jesus into his or her heart, that is the moment real life begins!

JUST BETWEEN US…

  • Have each of us made a choice to receive God’s gift of salvation?
  • If not, what is keeping us from making that choice?

God, I am a sinner in need of You. I can’t live right or hope for eternal life on my own. Please forgive my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your only Son. You sent Him to die in my place and set me free from sin. Thank You! Amen.

THE GOOD NEWS!

“Whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

You may be reading this book tonight without ever having made a commitment to Jesus Christ. The best gift you can give your children—and yourself—is the decision to put your trust in Him. All of us have been afflicted with a disease called sin, which means that we are in a state of rebellion against God. This curse is embedded in our very natures. Scripture tells us it is impossible to be good or righteous enough to cleanse us of this wickedness, regardless of how hard we try (see Romans 3:235:86:23).

Fortunately for us, however, God’s infinite love demanded that He provide a remedy for the human family. His wonderful answer was to send His only Son, Jesus Christ, to endure on the cross at Calvary the punishment we deserve. Jesus’ death and resurrection three days later are your passage from a meaningless existence to an eternity of joy and freedom. He offers you a gift of new life. All you have to do is repent of your sin and put your faith in Him. This is the meaning of our human existence—the only satisfactory explanation for why we are here and where we are going. No wonder it’s called the Good News!

How can you introduce your children to Christ if you don’t know Him intimately? If you haven’t given your heart to Jesus, will you do so right now with the prayer below?

BEFORE YOU SAY GOOD NIGHT…

  • Have you claimed the gift of eternal life offered by Jesus Christ?
  • If not, what is preventing you from making that commitment?

Lord Jesus, I am thankful beyond words for Your sacrifice. I am a sinner who needs You and believes in You. Help me to serve You, obey You, and follow You. Please forgive all my sins and grant me a new life for eternity with You! Amen.

Devotion from the gospel of John

Day 2

John 1: 3

“ Through him, all things were made, and without Him, nothing was made that has been made”.

1). ” Through Him, all things were made”.

The Word is a person, Jesus Christ. John 1: 17, ” for the law was given through Moses, Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ”. Jesus, God’s agent in creation, created all things by His word.

Gen 1:3, God said, “ Let there be light, and there was light”.

Gen 1:6, God said, “ let there be a firmament in the midst of the water”.

Gen 1:9, God said, “ Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together in one place”.

Gen 1;11, God said. “ Let the earth bring forth grass”.

Gen 1:14, God said, “ Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night”.

Gen 1:20, God said, “ Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures”.

Gen 1:24, God said, “ Let the earth brings forth living creatures according to its kind”.

Gen 1; 26. God said, “ Let us make man in our image, according to Our likeness“. Us and our is plural, a hint to the Trinity.

2). ‘’And without Him, nothing was made that has been made”.

Jesus was not a created being. Jesus is not in the category of ”that has been made”. As a pre-existent being, Jesus could not create Himself. Him. He existed from eternity past to eternity future. He is YHWH, ”I AM”, present tense.
