Relationship and Fellowship with God

What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also;

And
indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3(NASU)

God made us in His own image that we may have a share of the characteristics of His divine nature. The essence is for us to be able to relate and fellowship with Him in an inseparable union through the Holy Spirit.(Gen. 1:26, 2 Peter 1:4)

When
we accept Christ as Lord and Savior, a relationship with God is established but we need to be obedient to God and love Him with our whole heart to attract His friendship.(Matt. 22:37, Gal. 3:6)

*By His divine power He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises by which we may escape the moral decay, corruption, lust and greed of this world so as to have a share of His divine nature.(2 Peter 1:4)*

God’s desire is for every follower of Christ is to be so filled with His fullness and be in close relationship and fellowship with Him.
Apostle Paul prayed that a believer should experience in practical terms the love of Christ which is beyond what we may be able to understand by mere knowledge and that through it, we may have the full measure of the divine Presence and wholly be filled with God Himself.(Eph. 3:1719)

To be in real fellowship with God and His Son Jesus, we have to first of all be brought into a ‘oneness of spirit with divinity’ through the full and accurate “knowledge of the Son of God,… which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s perfection”Eph.4:13(Amp)

*Fellowship of the Godkind is for those who has come to the level of maturity in their Christian life whereby they can partake of the divine nature.*

Our father Abraham had that kind of level of relationship and fellowship with God for which “he was called the friend of GodJames 2:23. It was such a close relationship for which Abraham confirmed when he saidindeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord” and God also confided in him of His plans to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah.(Gen. 18,:2033)

We also can can have that level of cordial relationship and fellowship with God and His Son Jesus if only we so choose to. It’s really up to us as believers in Christ because God has already made available to everyone His word, abundant grace, unflinching love and the Holy Spirit which are working together to bring us to that level of knowledge and maturity that God has called us into. This is so because we need to operate in the realm of the spirit for us to understand things at His level.(John 17:926)

Amen
