(Personal note: It is never my intention to ever draw your attention to “me” alone, but only to Jesus Christ. Thank you for those who have “liked” what I have written here for you. My desire in doing so was that Pat Veen (Child of God) would not lose the attention of those who have “followed” her on this blog site. I don’t feel she actually HAS or WILL ever lose you as her readers. I only want the Spirit of Christ to reach your hearts and minds through my words in some small way. Timothy.)         In anybody’s life there may come the days of depression, drudgery, or despair. All we can really do is wait for these days to pass. Thus, it was for all those first disciples of Jesus. Many things in their lives could and would be experienced in this way; and that frequently! They left everything to follow Jesus, as the Messiah. They were enduring, at times, the very worst of situations and circumstances. Their patience, faith, and endurance was tried to the limit. They may have been tempted to turn back, give up, and return to their old way of living. Perhaps they did! But at least, of the twelve, eleven remained until the end. Yes, it was difficult! They even came to believe that they lost ALL, EVERYTHING that gave their lives any meaning or purpose. Then, when they had lost all hope- when all seemed swept away- then something truly “miraculous” happened. LIFE CONQUERED DEATH!   In my own life I have seen this scenario repeated too! How faithful God is! When Jesus is asked: “Lord, you can do this for me, if you want to.” Jesus replies: “I want to. Be thou clean.” Likewise, He will often appear despite the turmoil, and say to me: “It is I, be not afraid.” Do I believe those words? Or like the Apostles, do I at first doubt that this is really Him? When He speaks His peace to me, do I receive it, or like Thomas, resist until His love breaks through?       Prayer- Jesus, Master, Savior, all in this life is not always as we would have it be. But that doesn’t matter. It is how You would have it to be! When I resist the flow of Life; teach me Lord how to wait upon You. I have faith in You. Help me to be steadfast and true till the end. Amen.
