HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018!!!

No, dear brothers (and sisters), I am still not all I should be, but I am bringing all my energies to bear on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,” Phil 3:13(TLB)

As we are getting ready to usher in the New Year 2018, God would like us to take stock of our lives and activities of the passing year 2017: what we did or didn’t do, and what we ought to have done in the different situations we faced in the passing year. What measure of progress did we make? Would we have done better and achieved better result than we had? How was our relationship with family and friends? Our prayer life and closeness with God; was it at an acceptable level? What is the way forward for us in the New Year?

The Bible said “Old things have passed away“. We must have learnt one thing or the other in the year, gained more experience in life and must have known how not to do a thing or two.
We should be determined to take with us what is good into the New Year and leave all of our shortcomings and bad habits behind us in the passing year. We should aspire to march into the New Year in a ” newness of life” and brand new expectations of a refreshed and cosy relationships with our spouses, family, friends, and above all with God.

Whatever the objectives and plans we intends to accomplish in the New Year, it should be focused on God through Christ. We should make Christ the center of our hope and aspirations. When our eyes are fixed on Christ Jesus and what He is calling us to do, then we will be able to understand “the immensity of this glorious way of life He has for ChristiansEph 1:18(TMB)

We should desire to always be alive to Christ in righteousness. Having been washed and cleansed of our sins, we ought to make it a habit of living our life to please God(Rom 6:4)
We should also understand that the life of a Christian is that of a spiritual warfare. God is a Mighty Man of war and our strength to do battle is in Him. He stirs up in us the zeal to be battle ready for which He also have given us every available help and issued us with the weapons we need(Eph 6:1020)

We have a choice to make between PRESSURE and PEACE. The world as it is today is godless. It is full of distress “Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, He abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.” Rom 1:28(NLT)
Jesus has overcome all difficulties that exist in the world and obtained peace for His followers. So now, for us in Christ prayer gives us peace, but for those in the world, worrying gives them pressure(mental strain)
It is an awesome experience to fellowship with the Holy Spirit “For the kingdom of God does not consist of food and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Rom 14:17(NET Bible). When we choose to follow Christ, we have chosen peace and joyous life.

We should also understand too that our environments and the situations we face all responds to God’s Word. When we echo and give voice to the Word, we put His angels to work.(Psalm 103:20). Our heart is a tablet of flesh where the Word of God should be inscribed. It should be full and soaked up with the Word. The entrance of His word gives light and understanding to the simple.

Finally, we do know that the evil one does not like good things to come to the people of God. Praise God that Christ has triumphed over the devil and obtained victory for us. We should therefore march into the New Year 2018 with boldness and superiority consciousness over our adversaries knowing that: “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,

And
whose hope is in the LORD.

For
he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,

Which
spreads out its roots by the river,

And
will not fear when heat comes;

But
its leaf will be green,

And
will not be anxious in the year of drought,

Nor
will cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7,8(NKJV)

AMEN
!

HAPPY & PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!!

Am I dry, again?

have my posts been dry?

I  mean, have I used too much of other people studies?

Sorry if so. I might take a short break since I did post a lot lately and wait for my friend co-blogger Ike and his very interesting posts and thoughts.

I need a hug an encouragement from you that read my unimpressive but real and true thoughts. You are kind to Like some of them.

I thank the Lord our Father for His love and my Salvation and tell myself not to feel sorry for not being as I was once when my mind worked much better and my writings as well.

I think God wants to keep me humble always. I love being a child of God. I feel very important to HIM and that is all anyone needs or can ask for, at least for myself.

Unfortunately, I had for 4 weeks 3 days a week some years ago, shock therapy and I thank God I still have a mind left to praise HIM with so, Pat, stop feeling sorry because your writing is not pretty anymore.

I like to be honest even if it makes me look bad because I want to please and give Glory I want to dedicate whatever time I have left to HIM, to Praise every minute of the day.

I love Jesus and the humbleness of HIS life. HE Never thought himself as anything but a servant.

I want to be all HE has planned me to be and I am not young anymore so I ask HIM to show me how to testify in a coherent way, for others to have an idea of how I feel about HIM my love, my Jesus.

Am I making any sense tonight?

I ask God to make me humble more and more every day I want to be far in the room, but first in His eyes as I drink His Grace near but not intrusive,

later,

Pat.

Our sins forgotten part 3

THE MISSING RECORD OF OUR SIN

From Bible Study on You Version.

If God kept a record of every human’s past sins, then no one would be able to stand before him when their turn came to give an account for their life. But Psalm 130:3 explains that the Lord does not keep a record of all the times each believer sins. He will not have everyone come before him so that he can scold them for every single sin they committed since they were born. Hebrews 10:17 says, “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”

God is not looking to discover the faults of man, but instead he is gracious. His memory is short when it comes to humanity’s wrongdoing. God’s grace is evident. He does not keep score in the midst of mankind’s propensity toward waywardness.

This forgiveness, grace and mercy that God is so eager to give his followers comes through the sinless life, death and resurrection of Jesus. He is the only way in which humans can receive God’s forgiveness (Mt 26:28; Eph 1:7; 1Jn 1:9; 2:12). First John 4:10 explains that Jesus is the “atoning sacrifice” for all sins, which means he is the sacrifice that can repair every person’s relationship with God, bringing about perfect reconciliation between God and sinners. God no longer has to keep track of everyone’s sins because he placed all sin on Jesus when he was on the cross (2Co 5:21). With the sacrifice of Jesus, God provided a remedy for the guilt and shame of all humankind, offering them a clean slate. With the resurrection of Jesus, sin and death have been defeated, and God is now solely focused on bringing everyone to himself through the forgiveness, grace and mercy that can be found through belief in Jesus and what he did on the cross (Jn 3:16)

Thank You Jesus for erasing all the sins past present and future. Help me to remember not to repeat my sins over and over again. When I think about the enormity of Grace my heart fills with Thanksgiving and I tell Thank You Lord with a deeper appreciation.
