“I will repay you for the years that the locusts have eaten…” Joel 2:25(NIV)
The faithfulness of the Lord is everlasting. He loves to perfect every good things concerning His children. When He heals, He also makes whole; when He restores, He help to recover all and when He increases, He makes sure that nothing was lost.
I am a living testimony to the goodness of the Lord and His willingness to give a great life to those who put their trust in Him. At the appointed and fullness of time, He always fulfills His promises. Those who waits upon Him are never disappointed nor put to shame.
The Bible said that we have an adversary in the devil. “who walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” 1Peter 5:8. The devil is never tiring of patrolling the earth and causing mayhem. But thanks to God our Father who did not leave us unprotected nor helpless at the mercy of the wicked one. “We are His people and the sheep of His pasture” Psalm 100: 3. As a caring and loving Father, God protects and defends His own. He makes our enemies His own enemy and fights off our adversaries, forms a hedge around His children and protects them from evil.
The Lord will not allow any widespread affliction and calamity to overwhelm anyone who loves Him. But in the times when adversity and challenges does come to a believer, it is only but for a moment and for a purpose. So, when we face adversity as a Christian, we should learn from it, build our capacity through it and increase our spiritual strength and be able and ready to help others from that experience.(Luke 22:32)
No matter the number of afflictions of the righteous person, God delivers him from them all. Those who do face pain and suffering in Christ Jesus only does so for a while after which the God of all grace will “perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.” 1 Peter 5:10
It is in this regard that I write to share this testimony of gratitude to the Almighty God. I am grateful to God because I see a light at the end of the dark tunnel of my adversity. The restoration has already started and I am beginning to count my blessings.
I was doing the examinations to become a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant’s of Nigeria but had to stop when I got involved in a ghastly road accident. I stayed many months in different hospitals, had surgeries and still was confined to bed for a very long time. As I was fighting for my life and survival, I forgot everything about the exams.
Recently, God touched the hearts of some of my friends and colleagues who offered to sponsor me to go back and complete the Institute’s examinations. I did, and have since passed the qualifying exams to the glory of God. This November, I was invited and have successfully attended the induction and investiture ceremony of the institute. Indeed it was a miracle to have achieved this and I give the Almighty God the glory. Thanks to Him who heals our wounds, restores health to us and removes every of our shame and reproach. I also believe that this is just the beginning for me to “pursue, overtake, and recover all” everything the devil has stolen or deprived me off are on the process of being recovered and restored back to me a hundred fold
